Car tax

Recently bought a car and with the tax disc being resigned to the history books you never know if a car has tax or not and to confuse the matter new keepers have to tax a vehicle ya?

I'm just a tad confused as the gov.uk website says its taxed to july 2016 but I put 6 months on it yesterday

And before anyone asks why I didn't check this first is coz I forgot about it til now. Also no hate for the Hyundai beast, it drives like a dream.

Pay as you go road duty is my latest idea lol you only pay for what you use eg: parked on the drive for 6 months would cost £0
