whats is the best way to delock a car?weld a metal plate behind the lock?
will it still have to be filled on the outside or is there a better alternative that wont crack like filler?

will the whole door have to be resprayed?

usually its done by a welding a plate over the hole , then grinding down the welds then a tiny skim of filler

if ur gonna attempt doing it urself without a welder u can bond a piece of plastic (or something fairly strong) to the back of the hole , then fill it with fibreglass , leave to harden sand it back so its "key'd" then a skim of filler over the top to smooth :!:

or buy a blanking plate from B&Q - just a 2cm washer and a short bolt - then pop it in the hole and tighten up using bolt from behind.

You may need to just file the edges of the washer (it about 1.7cm round) and you'll have to grind off the top of the bolt to make it flush with the door but its easier/cheaper than paying a bodyshop to weld a sheet over the back of the lock!

then seal with epoxy resin both sides, fuill with p38 after resin hardened and smooth
