You could buy 10 astras to the one corsa. I'd rather have the astras thanks

Clearly biassed though as he was much happier in the VXR, give me the astra GTE all day long though, looks cooler, has character and would stand out a country mile in a carpark, unlike the corsa that will just blend into the crowd of modern euroboxes and the other 12,999,498,11111 corsa's on the roads lol

Errrm surely the modern equivalent of the Astra GTE would be the Astra VXR? In the same way that the old equivalent of the Corsa VXR would be the Nova GSi/GTE?

The astral vxr really would pull the astral GTE's pants down though let's be honest, if you look at how cars have got bigger over the years and the way small turbo powered units are replacing the likes of a 2.0 na engine it really is more of a like for like test.

I think he was spot on with the steering comment; dial in the proper values though through modification (+castor, quickrack etc) and the lighter chassis will pi55 on the new car.
