What has happened to the prices of novas over the last year or so? They seem to have dropped so much. It's great when you want to buy a new car but not when you want to sell your car.

Me and my brother just bought a red, standard, '93K reg GSi, perfect condition, 79000 miles with FSH for only ?1900. :) Not bad eh? However, selling the old car is not so good. :( Ended up selling car (see Darren Clarke's 1.4SR in feature cars) for ?1400 without wheels. Last year prices were so much higher.

What is happening? :-/

Insurance has gone up, petrol has gone up and the price of new cars has come down. So it's definately a buyers market. Look at the number of high perfomance cars for sale cheap because no-one can afford to insure them, such as 2l Novas for ?2000 or Mitsi 3000GT's for ?6000.

Well, I bought a Sheffield Ad-Mag last Saturday, and there's a moded J reg GSi for ?1495, a GTE for ?900, another GTE for ?600 one that says it needs attention for ?595 and a H reg 1.4 SR for ?1695.
There's also a 1.2 GSi Replica for ?2000 (2 thousand not 200)

So basically, there's such a lot of variance in price, it's hard to say what a car is really worth.
I've even seen a K reg GSi in Autotrader for ?900!!!!

I'm wanting to sell my Nova soon, but I've been worried at these super low prices of top models.
I just hope that they are all knackered smokey rust buckets, so that I can still justify ?1400 or so for my moded Antibes!

I know my lickle car is a 'lot' rusty but for ?200 its not bad, it runs and is my lickle baby, so i say phew to lowering nova prices.

Hey Rich m8, how much you thinking of selling your car if/when you do? I am looking to buy within a month or 2 and your car looks quite nice to me :D
