Went to a guy today to get an estimate for an exhaust system, from the turbo all the way to the back. Muffler and flexpipe included.
He's the best one around where I live, but he did say it'd be 270 Euro.

Opinion. Is it a bit too much? The exhaust muffler itself is 120 by itself. Is flexpipe really that pricey? My mate's 320d Beemer cost him way less for the exhaust.

270 euros seems very cheap for a compleat stainless system

Seems a good price. It's not just the flexi pipe that's extra to the rear box there's the full centre section with machine bends and stuff in it. Last rear box I got done was around £180

Dunno if it's stainless. It's just regular pipe, me thinks.

It wasn't shiny like you get with exhaust kits.

It's gonna be done on the spot at that moment.

€270 seems a good price for a custom turbo back system with flexi and backbox! A lad I work with just dropped over £600 on a cat back for his focus st. Admittidly it will be alot larger diameter and stainless but even a mild steel one should last 40/50k before it falls apart.

I'd sooner have good grade mild than the piss poor grade stainless that most kits have

sounds like a winner to me

I'd say that's good. I paid £300 7-8 years ago for my custom built manifold-back V6 setup, that had one silencer and a twin tail pipe (no flexi!).

Thanks for your input, guys. I'm gonna go and get it done today. I'll send you pictures of it tonight.

What diameter? I'll bet it's not 2.5"... hang on though, is it a diesel or a petrol? lol

I paid £300 for mine, from down pipe back. In proper good grand stainless.

If its mild, you could try a knock it down, but it's still a good price.
If it's stainless just buy it.

2" diameter piping, with a 4" muffler. That's the only size they had. And it's a diesel, 1.7L turbo

I tried, but to no avail. I mean, they did all the work and bending and cutting and welding and everything, with new pipe and a new flexpipe and a new muffler all in under an hour and a half. 270 is reasonable I guess.

Sounds good for a diesel, does it feel any faster? should of free'd up a couple of ponies with no centre silencer or cat.

It never had a center silencer or a cat. The engine it has came off of an Isuzu Gemini. Never had a cat on that model. Does sound quite nice though. I'll open up the boost later. I'll go from 7PSI to about 22 or so.

1.7L, not 1.5. And at one point. It's kinda scary, seeing as though I'm still burning rubber in 3rd gear.

Sounds nice, i'd have wanted the rear pipe to be straighter tho.

I like your rear light mod.

Oh yeah, that fell off when I test drove the car and we couldn't find it. Been looking for a replacement light for I don't know how long and come up blank every time.

I've always wanted the sideways, drift style exhaust for some reason. Well, sadly it isn't a Skyline R-34, but if you close your eyes and squint really hard from a distance, it still doesn't look like one.
