K&N not fitting

Ive just bought a new K&N for my Varajet 2.

Problem is it doesnt fit as it fouls on the carb.

Anyone else had this problem?

Its fouling on the bits for the auto bloody kickdown. Need to try and find some hard rubber or thick cork to make a temp thick gasket until I drop the manual in....

Sorted now. I found some thick rubber to make a gasket. Took the filter apart, drew round the filter base to get gasket size, then realised I could fit the original gasket upside down to give me the height lol lol lol lol
