Oil pressure switch?

Hi guys,

Ive tried googling this but cant find an answer.

Does anyone know know at what pressure the low oil pressure switch is triggered? I need to fit an aftermarket one to my engine with 1/8th NPT so would like to know what pressure switch i need to buy.

Also, could someone please confirm for me the thread for the standard switch?

The engine is a C16XE.

I thought the std ones are M14 thread. Not seen a high pressure m14 one though...

I basically want to know what pressure the light comes on/ goes off at along with the thread on the switch. I guess it's m14x1.5 then?

Not sure what pressure a standard one comes on at, but if your pushing an engine a bit more id like to know a bit more in advance if the pressure is dropping down anywhere near where a standard light would come on, your probably better off spec'ing one to where you would ideally like the light to come on if there are any issues
