2.0 16v vs 1.6 16v

being the owner of a valver, i was wondering whats the oomph like of a 1.6 16v tuned up to say 150bhp, has it got that raw power of a valver or not? it will beat a valver no doubt coz of engine weight but is the actualgrunt there, if you dont know what i mean, god help me

depends if you mean round a track, upa 1/4 mile or around town really mate.

CP has a 1400 which is heavily modified and it almost kept up with chris t up the 1/4 mile, we have it on video on the site somewhere - about half a second in it i believe... and chris t's aint renound for being the slowest 2.0 16v around.

chris T puts out over 200bhp and cps 1.4 was very cose over 1/4mile. on a track we all know who would win ;)

it all depends on the conditions mate. straight line, low speed, high speed. the 2L are very good at pulling from 80+ where the smaller engines wouldnt cope with the wind resistance as well.
