Anybody ever lowered the tie bars onto the bottom of the lower arms?
I've just bought some new arms that I will be strengthening but I want to move the tie bars to the bottom, approx 1" lower, reason being since I lowered the crossmember I have gained a bit more room between the tie bar and the gearbox but its not enough .
Yes, its ment to help diving when hard braking and to clear some gear boxes.
I run a 30mm spacer in the arm, my tie bars sits about 15ish mm front the bottom of the arm.

Ahh cool :thumb: have you got any pics of your setup mate? I've kinda got an idea in my mind what I'm going to make spacerwise, be good to see yours is done :)
Anti dive benefits are from lowering the front of the tie bar. Dropping the back will make them more level

Ye I'm not too bothered so much about anti dive, is more for the clearance than anything.
Ah sorry thought it was the other way around.
Spacers.

Is that a 30mm spacer on the arm Benn? looks loads more than that lol.
My initial plan was to use a bit of 30x30mm 3mm wall box section I had leftover from doing my crossmember and just making crush tubes to go in them but after seeing your setup Benn I've got some 1000mm of 30mm wide 5mm thick alloy bar on order to chop up into plates so I can adjust it if need be.
Thanks for the help guys :D
Muchas Gracias :thumb:

Ye I've just checked my arms with a bit of 30mm box, is the same. :thumb:
Well that will clear a F28 gear box. Mine front mounts are lowered the same so.
