mk1 / mk2 bumper mounting

What's different if anything to how the mk1 and mk2 rear bumpers mount? Would I need anything or need to alter anything to fit a mk1 on my gsi?

Lol yeah, my gsi bumper is horribly burnt around the exhaust groove. Its more of a temporary thing as I have been offered a mk1 bumper for next to nothing.

Totally different design of rear bumper and would look cack.

Yeah figured as much but thought I'd ask as it was gonna be basically free. Anyone got a mk2 bumper for sale? lol.

Any idea if the mountings are the same?

Where the carrier bolts through the body is the same MK1 & 2 ~ Pretty sure it's the side mountings that differ.

The side mountings are differently mounted.
Easy to sort though
