View Full Version : issue with my heater matrix in my c20let nova not blowing hot air but gets up to temp

A have put a hose on the matrix to male sure it wasn't blocked and made sure the water pipes were on right any other issues that could coz it to blow cold and no get hot

Are both heAter hoses hot when up to temp? As u mite have a air lock in there or its blocked

Cable that goes from heater knob snapped off heater?

Both hoses are hot and cable is fine was workin fine when the Sr Engine was in the car

Just double check the cables are moving heater box end if there fine then I expect u have a blocked heater matrix

Try putting hose pipe on steady through the matrix with the pipes off to prove it's clear.

Start the car when it's cold with cap off let it warm up a tad then pull the passenger side heater matrix hose off u mite get covered in antifreeze but should shift the airlock, that's what I had to do in my 1300 after I fitted a new rad

Or squeeze the radiator hoses by hand to try pump the air out

Mite be worth doing the bolts on the bottom of the heater box and remove the cover and just double check the heater rad is getting hot, your not checking via the centre vent are u as that comes out cold all the time anyway
