I can't have a serious opinion about this really due to all the ****heads feeling that it's an outrage to sack him simply because they idolise the guy. All the comparisons to Jimmy Saville, saying they should keep jezza because they kept Saville (if the Saville thing happened now he'd have had a greater punishment than the sack), also all the tripe about viewing figures and revenue losses and protests of never watching the BBC again. The BBC had they're hands tied. They were forced to let him go due to him breaking the law, it was the general public who demanded stars should be held to the same rules as us commoners.

I'm sure the trio will be snapped up and I'll be the first to watch them in their new programming. As for top gear I'll also give that a watch and see if I like the new format.

The BBC or Clarkson, Hammond and mat are not gonna lose any sleep about this and everyone's idiotic misplaced loyalty is grating on me somewhat.

^ this, the comparisons to Saville are laughable. TBH I'm sure plenty of producers got the odd lamping back in the 70s and barely an eyelid was batted. Nowadays though either the BBC get slammed for letting him off, or they get slammed for firing him. Rock and a hard place!

Does Clarkson really need to be on TV at the mo? He does a bit of print media work but other than Top Gear, what other TV does he do? Hammond and May at least get roped into doing other odds and sods. I'm sure I read that Sky had already said they didn't want him, do Channel 5 still do Fifth Gear? Not sure if they'd bend or replace that to accomodate him. Perhaps Dave could commission a new series then spend the next 100 years repeating it lol

the only way that could be a worse option was if they got Miranda to present it lol
GM gets right on my moobs, irritating norvern monkey

it wont continue - the "vibe" wont be the same. TBH it run its course a long time ago...was always good fun but recent series have been a little repetitive.

Clarkson should go - yes hes got "charisma" but theres no excuse for assaulting another employee regardless of whether that employee took action or not. If they let him stay what kind of message does that give to the "younger generation" who being mainly blokes watch the program?

its a setup, nothing more, nothing less. they wanted out of the bbc's option on a contract renewal....they got it.... i guess there is an american broadcaster ready to pay big.

I had heard that the BBC had bought the rights to the brand Top Gear from Clarkson so even if he did move to anohther channel it isn't going to be Top Gear.
They still have all the bits and Bob's including the Magazine which I don't think the 3 are involved with. Yes it's right he's gone, I know if I did that then I'd be out at my company. But what am I going to balance out the 4 or 5 nights of eastenders with now! Lol

Love to see Clarkson doing something Motorsport based but different, say maybe monster trucks to the UK.

Always loved top gear, if it does continue in some weird way I'll watch the first of the 2016 season and take it from there... Won't be the same but change can be good some times.

Love Clarksons style so I'll follow his laddish ways whatever he does.
