Hi all

Started looking for a new shell as mine is rotten - anyone know anything about this one?

It looks good from the photos I have seen. Its wide arched as you can see, but the front arch doesn't go to the end??? I am wanting to build a rep so would consider removing the wide arches but no idea if they are filler or metal yet, or how much work is required in removing them (I have the large replacement arch panels) or I could build a road going track car.....

I know its a K reg so far but that's all.

Any info guys?

Thanks :thumb:

I would also like to remove the side skirts but they look moulded/smoothed in....

Have just found out it was a 1.2 trip on the log book.

You'd be mad to buy that with the intention of removing the arches.

Yeah was thinking that :( Want a standard look and can't visualise it in that guise with wide arches....

If this is the same black wide arched shell that was for sale in essex a couple of years ago, It was rotten, although I have no idea if it is the same one.
Have a good look over it, if it was me and you wanting the standard look, I'd hold out for a decent original shell.

I am seeing it Sunday morning so will know more then. It was hosting an LET prior to being broken for parts not so long ago. Now that I have free space sorted I will get it if its solid enough so I can make a track car whilst waiting for a decent SR shell.

Saw the shell, it looks good to me from what I saw/prodded. It has clearly had a fair bit of love and work over the years - welded for strength and didn't see any repair patches underneath. I think its worth the punt and its a solid base for starting with :)

Just got to get it up the A3 now lol
