As above going to be putting alet in my nova haven't got a gearbox yet was wondering if anything needs cut to fit f28 ? And what mounts ? I have 2ltr mounts the now and gear linkage for a nova. If it's too much hassle probably go down the f20 route. Thanks

I know they need a different mount which you can buy on eBay.

Pretty sure you havt to cut off the standard nova gearbox mount and weld the new one lower down.

This should help:

Edit: just noticed in that link there's lot of links to Chris Ashley, be aware that he ripped plenty of folks off over the years, not sure if he still sells the required parts.

Why are you doing it? I fitted one, wouldn't bother again.

Yes you need to cut the Nova mount off and weld the F28 mount on.

Why out of interest Benn? I'm a big fan of the f28 in mine.

No real point.

i went 6 speed to help drop the reves for cruising on the motorway... But in 6th at 75 is still just over 3.2k.
Now what i'd have done is (like my mate has) kept the F20. Fitted a longer 5th gear from a WR box. Cause cruising at 75 on the motor with that reves at 2.8k max...

No messing with mounts or anything, much lighter too. Diff that up and be smiling all the way.

Is the f28 not stronger?

Ment to be. But i know a few people that have broken them, but not F20s...
