Will this set be reasonable enough for a couple of weekends a month type fettling with the Clarke mains impacted driver (already got that lol )

The deep 27 is particularly handy as the 500needs that for quite a few bits lol

I bought a Clarke 1/2 socket set 10 years ago as my first tool set. It's still in use now albeit with a different ratchet.

I use non-impact sockets with my 18v Snap-On all the time and aside from slight rounding, nothing to report.
I know, dangerous etc.

Next you wil tell me that using a non-impact 1/2" - 3/8" adaptor isn't right, either.

Spied this on ebay for £13 from a few places... Are Sealey any good still/ever?

OK no deep ones but the Machine mart sets seem to be 3/8" sub 13mm and use an adaptor, plus I've no real need for imperial.
Need a deep set too but that's easy enough :)

I'd just go for the deep ones tbh. I use my deep ones all the time, now hardly ever use the swallow ones.

I'd simply opt for the deeps but I found the electric gun is quite long and I struggled with space at times... Deep was too long and shallow wasn't quite long enough boo.
Think I'm going to get the shallow and deep sealey sets as it comes in a shade over the Machine Mart set but they are all 1/2" and in sensible sizes :) Seem some sets without a 15mm WTF!

I don't think any of the known brand impact sockets will be a problem, but I'd bet there are loads on ebay that are just mild steel with a black finish.....

These days, all sets should come with 15,16 and 18mm sizes.

16 and 18 is just dirty cheating... I found a load of those on our 2010 car. Whats wrong with odd sized nuts and bolts ffs.

Ordered the sealey shallow set for £13, and will pick up the deep set too another day.
