Think it was Novaload when I first signed up when I got my first Nova in 1999. Never been a big poster but had one of my old cars in the feature section on here many many years ago.

Got back into the Vauxhall fold after a few years away but with another Corsa GSi, about as rare as Nova GSi's these days!

I may earn myself a ban here.... But in the early days I was part of Roybacer.... Was on there under the username of Novaload, however at that time I didn't know of Novaload so when people on there asked if I was the person behind Novaload, I was like err, what you on about?
Earned a ban because of using the sites name has my username. Oh well, joined the original Png back in 2000 maybe 2001, left it behind when it became highly track focused and the name changed to Pvg.
Then joined up with JOV from the start as ea rep. Until 2013 where a big site shake up occurred and it became more ****book focused. I decided to come over here for my nova fix.

Visit the forum most days, would love to get another nova but just dont have the time for one at the moment. Usual story i guess. I think it's also down to old cars becoming rarer/more expensive and the young lot these days grew up with Corsa C's/Saxo's so prefer them, a lot of people on here I'd imagine will be 25+ so grew up with Nova's and other cars of that era.

Corsa C's and Saxo's are ten a penny now just like Nova's were some years back.

I'm still around but don't really own a nova any more so I guess my interest has slipped. That and being constantly insanely busy with various other projects. One of them being helping another old member olly Hewitt aka trackdaynova with all the winter development on his current toy. Along with helping with the winter development I am his chief mechanic this season so unfortunately if race weekends and shows clash I will he at the race weekend.

I've been on here a while now. Think the forums great to be honest. I now and again visit a trials bike forum and its nothing but petty arguments and bitching. Shame it has gone quiet, maybe a admin post on Facebook telling of the advantage of the forum. There's some nice builds on FB i think it would be great to get more proper build threads on here.

Kind....I think what Benn means is Meets that are not attached to well known shows etc. With everyone on the same stand, rather than a stand full of Novas with PNG, a Stand full on JOV with a handful of other cars and a handful of other Novas spread out over the rest of the site.
I remember my 1st Trax show in 2000, with PNG, there was a field of Novas to rival the field of Scoobies!

HD surround sound will be epic. You sound deadened the inside of your doors, quarters, tailgate, etc., per chance? If not, maybe worth investing, as makes a huge difference in terms of quality in acoustics. I recently purchased these from the bay - they're good sized sheets, and excellent value in terms of quantity vis-a-vis other manufacturers of sound proofing.

HD surround sound will be epic. You sound deadened the inside of your doors, quarters, tailgate, etc., per chance? If not, maybe worth investing, as makes a huge difference in terms of quality in acoustics. I recently purchased these from the bay - they're good sized sheets, and excellent value in terms of quantity vis-a-vis other manufacturers of sound proofing.

Less is more, you'll end up with true enthusiasts and a lack of shit threads on a forum thus why it's more quite, okay there's maybe less answers to posts but the knowledgeable on here will still try and help if possible... The forum is only as good as the people that come on here so I say make it still as you want it to be ;)

Things change and we all get older and our lives around Novas will also change but if you enjoy Novas and want people on the same wave length regarding these bloody rot boxes then here's still a place to enjoy it IMO.

Ive skinted myself, taken loans out and made plenty of stupid mistakes fixing Novas but I'd never change what I've done, that to me is and was apart of owning a Nova. The forums helped me find right from wrong and the options of members sorted many a problem which saved me money... Sometimes but hey shit happens lol

Facebook has made a dent in a lot of forums. I think partly because image management is so easy on there, and people can use it as a one stop shop for all their clubs and friends etc.

What does gripe me on the FB side though is when people (especially when selling parts for some reason) make a post, then screenshot that post and post the image of the post on other pages/groups etc. Why not use the share option?!

I think that's because you cannot share onto another groupe like that only on your own timeline I just copy and paste the full txt when doing more than one advert

Although by the time the club changed to PVG we were a very patriotic region..... My white GSi, a red luxe+ 2ltr and a blue 1.6 corsa sport.

The nova is still sat as good as when I last used it (June 2010??) which is fine as it has only done 2 track days since it was built in 2008 :wtf: and it is sat snug on some axle stands with the occasional fire up to keep things turning. I haven't sold it as I could never afford to build another and I don't think the aging grey matter would let me remember how anyway lollollol
