is that oil based?

That stuff is messy, gets all over the place when working on the car

Considered overpaintable stuff instead?

im under the impression the schutz is the rubbery underseal not the tacky hammerite paint style stuff

this stuff is quite runny, as its ment for spraying on so has to be thin to go through the spray gun, if you want stuff to brush on this would probably be better http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1L-TETROSEAL-BLACK-Brush-on-UNDERSEAL-/380957142806?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item58b2d0af16

Still kinda soft but covers the car well and has been on since may 2013 so held up well

soft as in pliable? does it rub off and get all over you when you are working on the car?

it does get messy, when i fitted my exhaust last year it got al over me, but the inner arches have gone harder than the under body so haven't really had any problems

hmm I want some thing that dries in a firm rubber like substance. I plan to work on the car loads and don't want to get all messy everytime I touch the car

I've just brushed on some of the 3m stonechip I sprayed on originally and it kinda went on OK... You know I applied my stone chip with that little compressor you now have right? Itd do it even with the air leak and you can borrow my gun

If not 3m I'm sure they're all much of a muchness. Machine mart do one I'm sure otherwise motor factors

If you want rubber type finish you'll want something like u-pol raptor which is usually used one truck beds and such.

edit: only read the first page then saw Andy had already covered this lol

at 80 quid a go I would hope this u-pol raptor stuff is as good as you say

Imagine standard nova underseal to be like a rubber bush and raptor to be polybush.

At that rate i will keep stripping back the inner arches
