kent cams is the AST2?

thats what is in mine and would recommend it. Bit ropey low down but from 2500 rpm is very good.

My Piper 285 runs well, and doesn't seem to have a real low down flat spot "off cam"

Need to get mine tuned!

A little head work would help if you want a little more..........

no not unless you get the timing wrong!
remember taking the head off numerous times on my MK2 escort 1.3, to grind the Pistons in situ as the valves were hitting the pistons. When your young you trust your dad to get the timing right don't you....lesson learned. Find out for yourself! And double check everything. Think I took the head off about 4 times in 4 nights...

Hahah sounds fun mate hopefully I'll get it in one go I have a good understanding about engines I worked on marine engines for 5 years and my uncle owns a engine centre so tbh I will probly buy all the parts and get him to do all the head work
