Hi all

Is there a way to run a speedo cable and digi dash sender from the gear box at the same time? I understand that you can only have one plug on the gearbox obviously, but wondered if there was a way to effectively use both?

In my head I visualise being able to split the digi dash sender, remove the spigot and reseal sender around speedo cable etc - obviously not as straight forward as that but you get what I mean....having not seen inside the digi sender yet I don't know where the contacts sit to create the signal etc.

Cheers

Steve

Nova SPI has a mechanical speedo wotsit with an electronic takeoff (3 wires and usual 3 pin plug style thing)

No idea what pulses they are as to whether they'll work with your plans though

Seems some people have had success using the SPi VSS but I can't find one - do you have a part number Iain?

Cheers

Two different Digi dash/transducer combos:
16 pulse/rev and
6 pulses/rev

The 1.2spi transducer is 8 pulses/rev.... so you can see which digi dash it will more or less read correctly (ish) on

I've got a 1.2 SPi one exactly like above with a length of wiring if its any use?

I'm sure the number of pulses can be fooled - best dust off the digital and analogue text books haha

Yes it definately worked with my digidash. I've only stopped using it as I went from a mechanical to electronic speedo drive.

Just checked mine, which I had successfully running with a curve type digidash. It has 'AA' on it and I think the part number is 90148828

A quick search reveals Daewoos might be able to donate some parts here.

Most I've seen them sell for is about £20

Sweet. The Daewoo's do in fact use it on a range of vehicles :) However delivery is epic!!!

Liam - £15 deliverd???
