Damn thing wont start !!!

Going to lose interest in this damn thing soon :mad:! Car wont fire up whatsoever! Crank it over and just pops/bangs/throws flames (VERY LOUDLY) 20XE/Twin 45's

In that case, it either has too much, not enough, or its happeing at the wrong time.

Did it run before?

Have you checked timing?

has the engine been running in this car already?

is the cam timing ok?

are the manifolds sealing ok?

is the ign timing ok?

are the carbs set up properly?

yes car ran in the car before, along time ago, ive rebuilt the engine, not really touched carbs though, they were set up along time ago and never touched since, good spark, only got the exhaust manifold on at mo, not the full system. just checking cam timing again now.

so it ran since you rebuilt the engine? or it ran, then you rebuilt it and sat it up for a while? it could be loads of things, including the HT leads being on in the wrong order.

no it ran when i got it, stripped it, rebuilt, and now doesnt lol! no leads arent on wrong way. but before i bought it, the car was sat for like 7 years! anyway i'll go check cam timing now and let you guys know, cheers.

Will be nice to see northys old car out and about again have the dellortos been serviced, 7 years is along time with no fuel through them
