Oil breather filter

Hi all,
got a c14 engine engine fitted in my nova. It has an oil breather filter fitted which I noticed yesterday had perished...is the car still ok to drive (about 20 miles) to get a new one or am I going to do damage?!

How long do you think it has been like it? I don't think 20 more miles will hurt it, as long as the oil level is ok

Yeah it had an oil change about 150 miles ago. I noticed it yesterday and it's been in for work to change the carb filter last week so it's only just happened. The filter has come unstuck from the plastic housing so it's in 2 parts. Just need to get a new one!
