I want to treat a few patches that have had surface rust on them and was wondering what stuff you guys have used?

ive used locktites rust remedy and hammerites krust in the past. the rust remedy stuff works wonders but they only sell it in tiny little bottles at around 5 quid a go and I need a fair bit

cheers

Im dubious as to how these products supposedly work.
Grinding disc or nowt imo.Even then you can still see the indents of rust leftover

I use wire twist wheel on grinder but for where I can't get in corners, etc I use korust (or how ever it's spelt) and vactan which isn't quite as aggresive but makes an excellent primer layer for paints etc. their a bit of a last resort for me but sometimes I use them after the grinder and in welds too before primer to make sure it's as good as it can be.

that's what I want to do I don't want to just lap it on rot and hope for the best..iwant to use it as a tool to help make sure I never have to do the work again

Bilthamber Deox gel and Hydrate 80 do the bizzo. Cheap enough, too.
Still use knot wheels, grinding discs etc and cut out as much of it as you can.
