Hi all.

Fitted a dmtl to my 1.2 8v.

I have an aftermarket air filter to go on top. What do I do with the crankcase breather pipe originally plumbed into the standard frying pan filter? Can I just vent it to atmosphere or should I put something on the end of it?

I guess oil catch tanks would normally connect to this?

Thanks
Tom

Yeah I think I'll just do the same. It's easier for me that way lol.

I heard this was urgent so i rushed to answer this. But I fail to see the urgency

shouldnt need a catch tank if the breather and seperator are doing their job properly (and your rings arent ruined)

Well I was in the workshop trying to get the car running after rebuilding the inlet side of the 1.2. For me it was urgent and simple for many to answer I imagine.

So thank you to those who have offered sound advice.

Appreciated.

You can get cheap little crank case breather filters mate, not that they are always necessary but look smart enough if they match any other bay dressing/shiny bits etc

Yeah had my eye on a couple on the old ebay. Main colours are the standard metallic red and a Vauxhall anthracite colour so I might grab a red one and just stick it on to dress the bay a little bit.

Lots of sanding and etching to do before I go down a serious engine bay dress up route though lol
