Swings and roundabouts....

Id go 40's but that's personal preference. Others like bike carbs.
probably more costly to get 40's but easier to find a chooner, and the other way IMHO for the bike carbs.

i bet both ultimately cost the same once you're finished.

Having now used both a bike carb setup is far cheaper to get the twin 40's will cost about twice as much if not more (new and used) the bike set works well BUT only if there is someone in your near who can set them for your engine and they must have some experiences of doing this. Both types work well but the twin 40's are more adjustable to suit the engine they are on and easier to work on as most main jets are accessed with the carbs in place, bike carbs must be removed every time due to the jet access being underneath.

I've had both and prefer bike carbs and didn't really get on with webers as much, it's personal preference though.

also factor in I live quite close to bogg brothers and know my way round bike engine and carbs a lot better then I do cars, so setting them up isn't an issue.
