'91 Nova Hatchback question

Took my car in for a service at a mate's garage a few days ago, and I asked him to do a quick check on it since he is a licensed mechanic. He found that the tie rods need replacing as well as a ball joint and a CV boot/joint.

The car now has a 1.7 Isuzu TD in it, but I don't know what engine was in it before hand. Does engine size affect what tie rods or ball joints or such it needs?

I think tierods and balljoints are the same across the whole of the Nova range so no worries there. CVs may be different

Do you know from where I might be able to order/buy a front cross member for a Nova?

Try your local bodyshop supplies/motor factors, otherwise there's panel places online if you need to go down that route
