I like a diffrent colour...alot of people say it can look like the car had a cheap respray but those people are fools!

I prefer when it's the same as the body, not really a fan of different coloured bays however there are some exceptions.

I'm in two minds thinking of doing the same with my nova, it's white with grey wheels so tempted to do the bay the same when I swap the engine

Mine was done body colour for the respray.

But I am considering doing it grey and the inside when I track prep it. As I will no doubt have welding or bits to remove and brackets to add etc. Oh lol and a cage and buckets! Which I am contemplating doing this winter.

I hammerited mine black before fitting the XE, would look a lot better if it was body coloured tbh.

I like the grey interior and engine bay look, very BTCC (and allows you to do colour changes easy!)

Mine at the moment is a very dark anthracite but I shall be getting it painted the same colour as the inside in the coming months when I remove the engine for a rebuild..

Cheers Baz. It really does give it that 'track' look but also saves tonnes of time and money "when" it comes to getting the car repainted and colour changed in the future as Iain said.

^^^^ lol lol lol

i think it comes down to personal preference, I'm not keen on different colours but I love Liam's and a few others. I think the secret to it is the quality it's done to.

Haha love you too Leigh. lol

I'd agree with you slightly with that Scott. If it's done right with quality it looks good, otherwise it just looks like you're doing it on the cheap and can't afford to get the bay sprayed so you've done it in matt black on your driveway etc.

Gotta be body colour for me. As it mostly looks like you've had a cheap repaint if it's different colour.

There are a few exceptions tho

Can't go wrong with the same colour as the body, clean and fresh with loads of new parts as well!

Looks like crackle finish? That blue is lovely, but at around 4:20 the finish looks sh*te.

It's not crackle. It's GM spatter paint the yanks use in the boots.

Oh, cool. I've seen that in pickup backs...
