Which starter is this?

I bought a new spare starter for ohc small blocks but looked at an old one and the new one looks slightly bigger.

Can it be identified?

As long as the front brackets are the same depth (where they bolt to the block) and the holes line up - they are interchangeable...

I remember replacing the one on my sr and the new one was half the size ;) and 1/4 of the weight

did go from the old ac delco one to a valeo

Bosch or Valeo are better ones to use. Delco are budget
