Hi all I was just wondering are the nova clear rear lights legal? As they say on the back for show use only.

Think you've answered your own question, they'd only put that on them if they don't carry the proper road use markings!

Is there anyway u can make them road legal? Like reflectors or anything

I think it is down to the fact that they don't have Reflectors in them is why they are illegal. Same with the Genuine smoked ones. states they require Reflectors for road use.

I seen in the Haynes Max power book that the smoked rear lights came with reflectors that u put on the bumper.

Depends how legit you wanna be, worth putting a red reflector somewhere on the back of the car. Anything you use will no doubt spoil the look somewhere though.

Well it dosnt really matter the now, it won't be on the road for a while as it needs welding done and a respray. Though thanks for the help.

Most of them are legal and have the red reflectors built in.

I am pretty sure my old ones were legal, obviously the ones above aren't but I am not referring to them am I :D

I remember when you could get them new (showing my age here} they came with red reflectors that you was supposed to fit to the rear of the car to make them legal, but nobody did. they are illegal without a red rear reflector.

If they are legal, they should be "E" marked on the lens, suspect if "show only" they wont be

Here's a picture of the lights. So I'm guessing i'll have to add reflectors to the bumper?
