Twin 40s on a c14se

Ok so we've just run in our new race engine on twin 40s, it's been a b#stard to start when cold, and when we changed the plugs #3 was black any help would be great, I'm pretty sure it's just the carbs need playing with

well clearly they need setting up properly....
Try Pete Baldwin (if hes still around) at Wilshers Garage in Orwell, best carb place I've seen.

For starters though, you need to make sure that are full throttle pedal travel that the butterflies arent open 100% (close but not full) so as not to bend the spindles... this is one of the key reasons "carbs go out of tune" lol
