Right i have a few niggling things with the GTE.

When i come to a junction or silmilar and slow down the engine cuts out, it starts up perfectly but it only happens when slowing down. If i am parked up and let it run on tickover it will sit happily.

The only other thing i noticed is when i am slowing down the oil pressure drops into the red.

Is a real pain in the ass, the idiling isnt perfect as it has a Piper fast road cam fitted so i expect it to be a little lumpy but wont explain the cutting out.

This is quite important any help please... ?

Cambridge has suggested reseting the ECU?

I have 4-5 spare AFM's so thats easily tested.

Yes, a tiny slit on the pipe from the airflow meter will cause this as will a kink in this pipe. take it off and check underneath (if ya haven't already done this)

Its progressively getting worse and has turned unbearable tonight.

I am not that fussed about the cutting out just the oil pressure dropping that low.

Should i take it off the road as cant be assed with changing engines :!:

nah, it will be that AFM

Mine used to do it coz the clip was loose. I just re-routed it round a breather and its fine now

wait your saying oil pressure is dropping into the red ONLY when slowing down?

if u dip clutch and rev what happens?

if u dip clutch and let it drop to idle before slowing down what happens?

oil pressure is relative to engine rpm to some extent but it dropping to the red at idle sounds like a blockage somewhere

try running a can of engine flush thru it then changing the oil?
