This is just mainly pictures for now in the past few months me and my mate have been refurbing our corsa we brought middle of last year, it was a standard 1.4, but now is a raced tuned 1.4 on twin 40s with 421 exhaust. Were planning on racing it at arena Essex this year and will be out on the 18th of this month.

is that a custom front engine mount in the bay ?

Yeah don't know why but the bloke we brought it from has used a nova mount.

Yeah our season starts in March, bring your car to the EXPO Andy all autograss formulas are racing aswell

Any advice on running twin 40s on a c14se, ******* to start when cold, when warm it starts on the button.

Also when we changed the plugs after running it in #3 plug was black

You running a choke?

Open them manually but then still struggles

Not quite a race ready monster, but my nova on carbs was like that. I replaced the dizzy cap, leads, plugs and rotor arm and with the choke open it fires beautifully.

Also, have you checked that the choke is returning and opening smoothly. Sometimes the cable inside the sleeve gets all gunged up.

Might try that granty as we're ment to be racing on Sunday, so ain't got much time getting them to someone to set up properly

shouldnt need the choke at all. just 3 pumps onthe throttle pedal and go.

what were the carbs fitted to last?
And there is no way in hell I'd be racing a car with non-setup carbs!!! thats asking for trouble.

Race day 1 went well with 2 3rd place finishes from 6th. Race day 2 today I'll try and get some more photos

Was goin well got 4th in the first race on a wet track and was wining the 2nd race until the last corner when the diff let go. Got a few adjustments to do for the next meeting in March, and I'll be goin to an open diff as it's abit of an animal with a locked diff
