then it was left like this for a few months while i collected parts and searched for an engine fore it.
then february last year i found a bargain on ebay with a 1.0l engine and box and loads of other parts i needed and a few mk1 panels.

so when i had aspare weekend i set about dropping the engine in.

it then stayed like this until i finished my gcses and left school, and then wanted to sort out the rust and respray it, but didnt go to plan. it took much longer than expected to get space in a mates unit than id hoped and that i didnt have as much time as i wanted to get it done before i started college.
but when i did get it inside i had every tool id need and ramp access so i could properly check it all out underneath, checking for rot etc.

i was very happy with the whole car but decided to do the whole lot, so started stripping it ready for replacement panels like sills and the lower front panel, and decided to take the engine back out to give the bay a good tidy up.

once i had the engine out and all panels off i started to look for rot and cut it all out:
