Dan you will need to loose the bonnet stay as well as the plastic bit that screws into the slam pannel will rub on the turbo inlet hose. Also get a 1.2 b reg top hose for the rad to the engine as it curves round and out of the way nicley. Rick

Can you not use the Corsa Top hose on the turbo's as they are a decent shape?

Rick Draper
17-09-03, 12:09 AM
Not sure the 1.2 nova one is a funny shape but you can cut it up and make it fit very easily. I will look at my sisters corsa tomorrow to compair the hose. Rick

ur gonna have fun getting the rad in there... also it's 100 times easier to fully build the engin before fitting so that loom etc are on engine ready

yeah, thats a pretty decent enine you got there mate.

my 1.0L is soooo much faster............honest!!!

wanna swap then you'll have much more power!!!!!!

if not i'll jus go to regal and and 2x 2.0L turbos put in

comin to matchams?

fergie.

dan16v
18-09-03, 06:04 PM
 ud have to take it to germany for x2engines! regal prolly wouldnt know how!

Rick Draper
18-09-03, 06:18 PM
So how long till its all done and running Dan? Mine is in the paint booth now and is been painted tomorrow so that means the engine will be back in and wired in by the end of monday and it might even be running by then with no hold ups! Do you have your driveshaft spacer to hand? How big is it? I might get one made as thats the only bit i dont have myself at the moment as Rob Smith has it and he is to busy to drop it at my mates at the moment. Rick

Ben

my mistake

I Had to read that 20 times and still dont belive i did correctly :o

dan16v
19-09-03, 08:20 PM
well these are the jobs to do!,

wire in loom to dash

get work to bend me up a new down pipe

mod m tec lowered tie bars to fit!

get a samco amm to turbo hose and i also need the x2 heater matrix hoses!

thats bout it!
tbh i dont think it will be on the road this year i havnt got the motivation! as there are no shows etc left so no point busting a gut and going over drawn to get parts! by leaving it i can get a mad custom fmic and a few new gauges etc, ill prolly get a 25bhp shot of NOS and water injection aswell! :D

Rick Draper
19-09-03, 10:35 PM
Dan do your lowered tie bar mounts not fit then? Mine clear the gearbox easily at full suspension compression. Rick

dan16v
20-09-03, 09:13 AM
nope there no where near! its because i have strengthinig plates welded on my cross member which is putting out the pcd of the holes on the tie bar mounts totaly out! bugger!
Rick i have the dimensions for the shim if you want them or you can buy it direct from lager for ?25 which i think isnt to bad either way i found both shims needed spacing out as the diff was still rattling around when the casing was tightened down

Nova-Flair

dan16v
22-09-03, 04:34 PM
should be a sound job its taken 6months  mainly coz i have to wait each wk to buy the parts as i dont like debt and stuff! im lucky that i dont need a car at all so i can also afford to be lazy
