F28 gear linkage in my nova

Hi just after some help. I put a turbo engine in a nova 5 years ago sold the car and have recently bought the car back. It is now fitted with a f28 gearbox it selects all gears but the gear stick spins and just doesn't feel right.

Any ideas on how to fix this or anybody close to hartlepool

is it a nova gear stick or a cavi/astra type gear stick?

if its the cavi style it could be that balls are all worn

Surely a quick look underneath will reveal all.

stripped it down looks like its the nova gear stick still was full of plastic shaving when the previous owner fitter must have cut the pastic.

anyway stripped it down cleaned it up the pins at the bottom of the cup weren't pushed in cleaned regressed pushed the 2 pins in its like a new car easy fix well happy.

few more days and the car will be finished i glad i own it again its well specked car and with the f28 and limited slip diff its now can be driven properly.
