View Full Version : How low?

So fitted my wheels today. 15inch with 45 profile tyres (already had them). Obviously the car looks ridiculously jacked up.

Anyone have any idea what sort of drop is comfortable and non excessive? I don't want to go super low to the point the tyres are in the arches. Would just like to minimise the pictured gap.

Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks Tom

Have you released the handbrake in that pic? Assuming that was taken directly after fitting?

it probably looks higher than it is, as its just been jacked up, and the suspension hasnt settled from driving.
plus its half on the kerb, half on the road, which sway's a few mill.

60mm usually looks good on 5 door arches tho

So 60mm seems to be the consensus. Might give that a go. Will get some level pics now everything has settled and you can see how bad a gap I'm dealing with lol. Cheers for the help so far folks.

Keep it that high, everyone into Novas will definitely remember it lol

4x4 nova lol I would say 40 to 60 mm

Hilux style you mean, rather than handling sports versions ;)

It's awful. Didn't think it would be that bad. At least with standard wheels no one cares. But if you make the effort of fitting a nicer set of wheels, gaps like that are not allowed lol. I could hide an Iranian family in each arch.

i'd go more than 60mm, coilovers for front and rear custom springs. It's a 5 door so will need more than 60 to fill those rear arches.

or get bigger tyres lol
