as title im planning on building a new rear beam have the plates but was planning on welding them 30mm higher so as to get more lows but still have suspension travel, i know this has been done before and the beam will need stengthening but anyone got ant pics of it done

Ask Johnny A. Believe it was a cab he done it on but same principle and this blokes a well of useful info best person I can think of for inspiration

Best to mock it up in situ with the dampers & everything to hand. Its the sort of error you can run into where you do a cracking job of fabricating something wonderfull only coming to find you cant get a spanner access when fitting the dampers, by that point you'd probably have it all powder coated too.

Yes you'll want to add some strengthening in to it. as you'll have over hang, i'd add in 2fins either side from the top welded down into the std mount... Should keep it strong.
