so thought i would start this thread as i dont really no what route to go with this car,
bought the car 2 weeks ago and want to take it back to original as poss, currently has a mk2 dash, red top, body kit side skirts and i beleive a gsi rear bumper, sourced the mk1 dash, clocks centre console and shelf, put the lights back to original colour, and bought a new rear seat back to replace a broken one, thoght about putting the engine back to standard but unsure on that

want to put the standard side skirts on and rear bumper, allready have the side skirts but need the bumper, what do people think of the colour coded gray trim?

will post pics soon :)

I quite like it as it is, maybe just put gte rear and skirts, if you can/want to put the gte interior back in, and fit an e16. But there's nothing wrong with how it is now imo.

Cheers for the replys, class 1 is my brothers, sold mine to buy this, fed up of having to tow my car to races for something to go wrong, rather have it in the garage and somthing go wrong lol, cars mint barring a couple of rust spots on the rear inner wings, not bad for a car that's bin stored for 6 years, skirts are going original and so is the rear bumper, going to try and remove the paint from the front splitter, the interior is original apart from the dash, the seats are only in temp as in waiting on the gte front seats. Wanted to make the body standard and keep the redtop for the fun, just want the suspension set up for it, and thought about a rear disk conversion. How hard are these? Also thought about speedlines as I like these but feel there more for mk2? Cheers want to do some shows next year and meet the crowd, what's the best show to attend?

Nice buy but I like your plans, under those side skirts might be rusted and plenty filler. A plain bonnet and 2 wipers would be a good move oh and a mk1 dash

Yeah there's a lot of filler blending them
skirts in, have to see what's underneath, from the bottom the sills look good

So decided to put the interior back to original and the outside, leave the red top and install disks on the back, anybody got a rear axle or conversion plates? Cheers
