Hello All,

So my first car was a corsa B. Had a 1.4 16v that obviously had all the "new driver" mods made to it. Custom inlet, stainless 4-1 manifold, full exhaust system bla bla bla. Noisy and nippy and I loved it until a hole appeared underneath and I scrapped it. Wish I hadn't now.

Anyway, a Primera, Volvo T6, BMW 318 and now a Ford Galaxy later I have decided to embark on Vauxhall ownership again.

Picked up a 1.2L 1991 Nova. 59k genuine miles, immaculate inside, completely original unmolested car. Desperate for the 1.3 SR manifold and Weber 32/34 DMTL to whack on.

Other than that I want it to remain standard with perhaps the exception of the wheels.

Bit of rust around the bottom parts but has been treated in the past so will get it up on the ramp and get it all cleaned and see what im left with. Otherwise very happy for £300.

Anyway, thought I would say hi. If anyone has any bits and pieces or wheels, parts or general Nova advice to share do let me know.

Hello and welcome. Looks a bargain for 300, I'm not too keen on the more doors bit I'm sure you'll get it looking tidy.

I'd have preferred a 3 door. If I am completely honest I was hoping to save a bit of cash over a few months and get myself an Astra Mk1 or perhaps even a Viva and go from there.

But this came up for silly money so I had to take it.

Thanks for the welcome.

Cheers
Tom

what did you think of the 318 ?

was that a 1.9, 140 bhp model ?

You know when you have that GF you think is the one. And after she leaves you spend months banging what you can to get her out of your head only it never works. Well the BMW is like that. No matter what I drive. No matter how crazy I drive something else, I want it back. But it had a terminal bottom end issue so bye bye. Bought it second hand and BMW specialist said it was run without oil for a while and some thicker oil and an engine flush was used to quieten it down when I test drove it. Part me being a mug and part me being mugged off meant too much money went down the drain. Otherwise a splendid car to drive and own.
