Winter is coming!

To all the snowboarders on here time to dust off the boards! Been lots of snow up here this week and this weekend looks like all the major ski resorts will be opening!

I've got Monday and Tuesday off work to go boarding already can't wait to be going up the mountain instead of down to Glasgow all the time!

I use to love skiing years ago but was usually a holiday thing lol

Italy was my favourite place... I've not been skiing though for nearly 20 years :(

Get involved southie :) I've never been to Italy, been to France and Switzerland a few times though I've got a holiday to France booked for feb and one to Colorado in march though.

Ive for winter tyres not taken them off since last winter lol my mates got a hilux which we go up in though. My car is gash in the snow

I'd love to Baz, miss it actually. The last skiing thing I did was a place called xscape which is an indoor slope... Pretty crap really but gave me a bit of a slope buzz lol

Was that the one in Glasgow? Or is there one near you? I've been going down there as it's "real" snow. Worth the 2 hour drive for me as I don't enjoy the dry slope all that much.

i'm planning on heading up somewhere over the holidays, probably to glencoe. not been on real snow for years, stopped skiing after i fell on the dry slope at hillend in edinburgh and trapped by thumb, breaking it and tearing my ligaments and tendons resulting in 2 days in hospital having pins put in lol be hoping that doesnt happen again!

ouch! That doesn't sound nice. Yeah get yourself up on the snow where hopefully that won't happen again.

Gutted! How you an age that?

i was at the Cairngorms today but we wasn't happy with the snow cover so went to the lecht bit annoying as we stayed in aviemore last night to get there good and early. The 30miles between the gorms and the lecht was on this road, good fun though.

Almost had the lecht to ourselves was amazing didn't queue once for a lift!

Yeah today! The braemar to glenshee road. My mrs is annoyed that we didn't go up today as it's powder and blue sky! Going tomorrow though but knowing my luck it will be blizzards on the mountain lol

Ah cool :) was talking to some of my mates... they are heading up tomorrow. Hopefully still plenty when im home 11 days to go!!
