Thought it might be fun to see how much the fuel prices may drop over the next few months in various places with the "supposed" fuel cuts.

Today in my local town :cough: Keighley :cough:
petrol at Sainsburys was 115.5 and diesel was 111.5... Didn't notice super unleaded.

So what's it currently for you.....red diesel doesn't count guys lol

Lets see where's the cheapest and most expensive is.

No relevance re the chart, I was laughing at the fact it was 50 at that time... I can't remember how much it was when I passed in 1994 lol

117 for diesel around here.

Price of tyres has hit the floor also.... six months ago the Falkens I put on my daily were £180 a tyre & the rear Ultracs were over £220... now the Falkens are £100.39 & the Ultracs are £140.99

re stu passing his test.... i was driving a tipper wagon in '97, then moved onto a brick crane for '98 & '99. we sold our wagons, when in the space of about 6 months, gordon brown practically doubled the price of diesel. but we could only get the haulage rates up by about 3% because the gov't inflation figures were what the rates were based on......but it was ok, because the rise in diesel tax would pay for their massive investment in railfreight, that was going to save the planet & get 'juggernauts' off the road...

they only use the word juggernaut when they are trying to make the public believe that the world is a better place without hgv's in it... if you need to ask why i'll never vote labour, i'll start a new thread...

Give it 5 or 6 months & the cost of fuel, and general cost of living will shoot back up massively anyway....

Edd

Anyone who wants fuel prices to rise massively vote Labour

They love fuel duty

of course it will. this is a minor blip... in 1988. i was earning about £250 a week (gross) & it cost about £25 to keep my nova in fuel. these days i earn more like £650 a week & pay about £30 in fuel. it really in't my biggest worry. wait till the base lending rate goes back up....

Edd
14-12-14, 02:39 PM
Whatever the outcome of the election the Base rate will rise

More so if Labour get in, to cover the proposed spending

Seriously you have to be a mega retard to vote Labour, they want to spend spend spend again

Erm we're still sorting out the crap they got us in last time FFS

about 1.20 - 1.40 in buckinghamshire, for 95 unleaded.

seen it as high as 1.60 a few times in london (for just 95!)

... not that i really bother looking at the prices anyway, as i need it to make the old dog go forwards and backwards.

i think in the future it will be so high, that only the rich will be able to afford it, and the lesser earning band of middle class will either have to sell their cars because of it, or sacrifice something in the lives in order to pay it
