20xe coscast head ?

Hi everyone iv recently brought a 20xe out of a astra gte the engine is a 1987 but dosent have a coscast head but everything looks original and not messed with any ideas ?? Thanks matt

its had a later head fitted because the original cracked (like they all seemed to do) ????

Thats the only thing i could think of aswell did coscast heads suffer with cracking then ?

people try & sell it as a porosity issue. they crack

the coscast process was still in its infancy when the gm order came through, and it was only meant to be 5000 heads. then the world went mad for xe's.
