hi there some 1 is stripping a mk1 3door hatch so can anybody tell me if the mk1 3door hatch doors are the same and would fit on my mk2 3door hatch and all my components from my mk2 to put on the mk1 door will it work...?????????

Yeah the mk1 has more holes for the door card I think that's it if your using all your fittings. Also remember very early mk1s have a smaller handle or bigger? Can't remember

Earlier handles are smaller.

The check strap difference is on the shell side btw, one has a welded on catch, the other is bolt on; can't remember which way round it is though - so a Mk2 door will fit on a Mk1 shell and vice versa.


The only difference on the door card holes were along the bottom where the screws go through the Mk2 door pocket.
