Post some pics up of ya car m8 :) Even better take me for a spin lol. Never been in a 1.5TD never mind 1.7, wanna see wot they feel like one day :P
What have u done to it so far?
if ya want i will meet ya on sunday and take ya for a spin.
i have just upped the boost a bit more and its now running 1.3bar constant and 1.4 bar overboost in top
added a cold air feed and changed the oil
its at about 120bhp and 140ft/lbs torque (estimated) i am going down to europarts in 2 weeks to get it dynod
i just need an exhaust system (still on 1.5 std shite)
i have found another 1.7td suzi and these are my plans for the corsa project
high torque cam
ported, polished
steel head gasket (lower compression as well)
stage 3 hybrid turbo
2 bar boost
fuelling to match
straight through 2.5 inch zorst
f 16 gbox
paddle clutch
with those mods power should be about 150bhp with silly torque
and it shouldnt cost an arm and a leg

lol that'd make a nice motor... bet it'd be wheelspinning in most gears ;)
You gonna be chucking it in a Corsa then?
yeah - they are newer and some people now expect novas to be fast but a bog standard looking corsa on 15" rims lowered 60mm
they wont expect to be a 135mph car with 0-60 in under 7 seconds
the lasd i got my engine off had a full custom exhaust for a TD to fit a nvoa, think he wanted ?100. hes on mig forgot his name

I have heard of a 1.7TD Vectra that had upped the fueling to 1.5 BAR. He had it on the rollers at 130 bhp.
i will be running 1.5 bar shortly in a nova. its the same engine as the veccy & cavvy
and the guys name is matt lawson - i have contacted him and he has modified it to fit a GSi

always been interested in TD nova's, are they nosiey like a transit van? or fairly quiet?
And 140lb torque make me want one!!
they are quiet , the isuzu engine really doesn't sound like a derv when your boosting, it sounds like an evo on a rally stage, you get quite a bit of wastegate flutter and a nice growl from the zorst.
