I'm getting my sr seats upholstered and i want to add heated seats just wondering where/what pads will fit best as i'm sure nova ones are a rarity and I think they're only in the **** not the back

iirc people used to use old volve heating elements and fitted into nova searts. Or maybe cut up an old calibra seat and use the heating element from that ans trim foam under cloth on sr seat to fit flush
just my 2p worth

Just makes me think I have wee'd myself
I love heated seats, best thing about the old cav tbh.
Those were just bum ones though, not back. Not sure if any vauxhalls came with a back heater.

In mk2 nova you can retro fit two vaux oem switches in between the leccy windows :)

Retro fitting heated seats are a sign of getting old lol

Yes.
From a volvo 740 or 440 - I know it was definitely one of those that I liberated them from.
Remember that mk2 novas have the slots for the (calibra/cav mk3) switches between the electric window switches if you remove the blanking panel, and there is an empty slot in the fuse box for it. Not too much wiring required.
For anyone thinking of doing this, with some extra pads and very little extra wiring/work you could always heat the seatback in addition to the base.

Cheers, I'm using a mk1 setup so will be using the switch blanked off next to the rear window
and I was going to get an ac setup shopped over from Portugal haha
