C20LET timing

Hi guys on the c20let engine I have high lift cams and adjustable vernier pulleys and I've timed it up to factory spec but when the car runs it's over fueling. Now I've heard from people that you have to retard the inlet timing by 1 tooth on these engines am I correct or can anyone help me if the timing could be my issue to it over fueling as I'm tearing my hair out!

Any help or info would be great as want to make sure all my timing is correct before I look else where for the problem.

You only retard seven degrees if you're running the xe inlet cam

You either adjust the vernier or move a tooth. not both
