Anyone got any info on the Vauxhall Adam gearboxes. Would they fit on any smallblock nova engines.

I believe their is a 6speed box and I'd be interested to see the what ratios and final drives they have.

the new 1 litre turbo Adam engine with a six speed gearbox in a nova must be a hoot.

Are they hydraulic or cable and I assume they will use a speed sensor as well.

They are hydraulic clutch, 5 speed are rod shift, 6 speed will be cable.

Dave.

claims they are 5spd boxes, but of course it could be wrong.
The 1.0 engine is based on a family 0, so the small blocks we know and love, so it might fit. Problem is you would need almost all of the ectronics from the Adam to keep the ECU happy etc, and the 1.0 is only 115bhp anyway lol

Better off just keeping it in the Adam imo

I'd guess the question is putting a 6 speed on a conventional nova engine so the only thing is need to convert to cable and hydraulic clutch and run digi clocks that's if it fits

You mean the M32?
you'd need shafts, mounts, hydro clutch, cables, some interface for the dash as most modern boxes have no speed sensor due to ABS etc.
plus any flywheel/clutch fun and games.

The m32 is the one in the astra/corsa vxr is it not? Which is pish. Always hear stories of them breaking. My mates one was ****ed after 15k miles.

the M32 needs cooling, no one bothers and then breaks them lol
