Motorcycle Slipper Pistons

Just out of curiosity, has anyone heard of motorcycle pistons being used in a car engine?

I've found some slipper pistons the same dia as 12st pistons so was wondering if they'd work with a suitably long rod

Can't see why not with the right rods,would be a cheaper alternative to lightened ones
