now its lucky if theres a dozen members online at anytime

The kids these days don't know a proper car when they see one, they certainly aint interested in rusty old nova's. It's all about 'mad new corsa' with bluetooth, hands free, and cruise control. Nobody seems to consider the fact they are driving around in a 1500kg tank with 80bhp and huge wheels. When I was a young teen it was all about 13 inch wheels, modifying engines in anyway possible for as cheap as you can and stripping as much weight as physically possible out of the thing lol. I fear for this forum and many others when the 'old skool' loyal members move on.

how many healey owners or mgb are there under a certain age just costs to much to buy build and insure and Novas are heading the same way part prices along with actual cars look at inner wings for example there out priced for most including me I'd not want to spend that amount of money on them I will spend less if I see them will buy them if I can but think some peoples prices just are killing the ability to run the cars

Novas are getting expensive for panels parts etc. But this is good in my opinion that they will part away from the chav style and become a more desirable and a classic car .The price range from a modified nova to a standard mint one is miles apart and that should be the future of the nova scene.

This forum is more dedicated to a rarer market now, less Novas = less fan base. With PNG also being a dedicated forum it's aimed at the one model but this forum can only get better in my opinion if people are willing to help out and give less negative comments about the place.

Obviously technology has changed regarding communicating about cars and most people will now use Facebook, I find Facebook too open and less of a club base though.

Going back to the Facebook as Killed the Forums, its done it to most of the site now. I'm going to have to join at some stage..... Sad really, as Forums have been the places where I have got most of my inspiration from for some of my mods on my 4 Novas since I bought my 1st one back when I was 17! A lot of names on here I recognise from back then as well.

some forums are dead (seemingly vauxhall ones) but others which are either used by grumpy people and/or those over 30 tend to be very active still. Some site have a facebook page but its dead and the forum is crazy active.

Lots of stuff is now on stupid blog sites but the original information always tends back to a forum.
while they wont be as busy for some, the info will always be there

+ whats peoples opinions on fitting a c20let with standard power or maybe even ph2 in to a nova that has the engine bay seem welded but not stregnthend.

i thought the method of escape was to run away, then stop dead, turn round 180 degrees & run... as haggises have longer left legs than right ones, they can only run round mountains one way, so making them turn round causes them to fall down the mountain.. or is that those large ginger cows?

one of those grizzly gingers tried to bite my hand off 2 years ago.

i didnt realise at the time, but i had hold of an electric fence, which saved my bacon.

i got a hefty ginger tongue scrape of 100 grit sandpaper across my hand, which was like getting beaten up in a dark alley, and just in the nick of time, before i lost any fingers from big-ass cow teeth, i got bolted with electric, which conducted through me, into the gingers mouth, and him and his mates frog-leaped backwards.
