Only advice I can think of is to remove that 'ring' sticker.
If you do go ahead with an 8v turbo, use a later 2.0 NE bottom end/pistons as it has a lower CR for turbo applications than the SER from a GTE/SRi.

Pretty sure you need to use the LET pistons with corresponding LET rods. You may as well use an XE/LET crank in that case (which is stronger & better for higher rpm), so you may as well use an XE/LET block or bottom end & I would then use an XE/LET cyl head & then you might just as well fit the LET KKK turbo........ Kinda makes sense to turbo a 16v (XE) over the 8v in that case.

I will let you no about a gear box pal and the point of me doing the 8v conversion is to be different how many turbo technics 8v Novas are about ?

Or, make it reliable and buy a let? Lol
the 5th injector set up is a laugh from a retro throw back perspective, but a massive pikey method from an actual practicality perspective!

Well I like your commitment to doing a 8v turbo, it may cost similar to buying a LET but as your fully rebuilding the 8v then you'll be having still fun and as you've said it's going to be that little bit different ;)

I no the conversion is out dated and harder to do but let Novas everywhere reliability I'm not to bothered as its a second car plus too easy to buy a let and slap it in lol
Nice to see another, heres my small block

Looking good pal hope to get mine started soon can't keep looking at it need motivation at the min lol anymore pics of the bay ?

Why use 5th injector put a decent ecu on and secent injectors job done

Point being I'm using the full turbo technics kit to be different not fussed on power or reliability even tho would probly be cheaper and Easyer to let it it will just be another let nova

loving that manifold. Bet that took some hours? Is it all guess work or is there any easy way to measure/profile the tubes?

thanks, its not that great it could be alot smoother but im a bit restricted on space + i wanted to keep it away from the oil filter take off. its literally made from 45 and 90 degree stainless steel butt weld fittings, with a few bits of straight cut at suitable angles to match up the voids. wanted to do it properly rather than the usual png bodgetastic spi manifold with adaptor plate & 17 head gaskets to lower the compression.
