So the supercharged Type R I bought wasn't really what I wanted in the end and a bit too loud, managed to get what I think was a good price for it in light of the new Type R coming out next year and it left last week leaving the money burning a hole in my pocket.

Decided I didn't want another hot hatch so this weekend I travelled to Ireland and bought a car I've wanted for a few years. Some people will recognise it as Keith Robinson's old car so I knew it would have been looked after (although not as pampered as his Nova lol) car is very well specced with all the options I would have wanted as well like Bose and factory switchable exhaust.

Had a terrific drive home from Scotland after getting the ferry back and I'm really happy with the purchase. Got a few little things I want to do but its in great condition for a 12 year old car.

Hopefully keep it long term as haven't managed to keep anything for more than 18 months except the Nova.

Cracking looking car you've bought Lee, seeings you've bought it off Keith it's bound to have been spoilt and serviced no doubt.
Amazing to think that you've stepped up so quick from a Let Nova so quick... Fancy putting it on the stand at billing lol

I had more money in the LET Nova when i sold it than this and the Civic combined.....

Brought back some memories seeing Keith's Nova though (think it could be the first i've seen since selling mine a year ago) and I can't see him bailing out of that like I did with mine.

At least he'll have some time to concentrate on it now and hopefully get it to Billing next year.

Question is Keith, what have you bought to replace it?

Nothing, I'll probably look for something else in the spring or summer. The only car to replace a 911 with is another 911 lol

nice motor that lee, deffo nicer than the civic:)

one bit of criticism - that big ol' grab handle on the back is as big as manchester lol. altho i guess with all that power, you need it to keep the ass end down.

ive always liked porsche's... even the old 356's have something special about them

Nice. Nothing beats a Porsche imo.

Nice car, but for me the 911 peaked in the 80s with the whale fin spoilers.

Thing is, when you buy a car that's his you want it do you have as much fun in it without tinkering Lee?

Very nice Lee, looked at a few 996's before I got the A4. Had to side with economy over horsepower unfortunatly :(

Loving it at the moment, drove it last weekend and one day this week as I actually like driving it. Think its already been out more times than the civic managed in 6 months.

Managed a bit of tinkering on it as there were a few niggly jobs that I wanted to do but quite happy to leave this one alone I think.

Love 911's, would love to own one, but simply couldn't afford to keep one lol
